Ten years ago, I bought a little yellow purse. I never used it. My then three year old thought it was the perfect size for her little self. It actually was a perfect fit. Fast forward to present day. She’s at least an inch taller than me and wears one shoe size larger than me. She definitely has the tall Filipino genes as my many family members on my dad’s side of the family from Dagupan are just shy of 6′ if not taller.
I worked a lot when she was growing up. I returned to to work when she was 6 months old. When she was three, I was glad for the opportunity to bring her to work at times. Fast forward to present day, and I am in a state of both awe and disbelief that she will be entering high school soon.
This evening I spent about an hour and a half with her watching short videos of when she was younger. She’s evidently always loved to sing and dance, smiled a lot and took care of her little brother.
Fast forward to present day. I wore her pleather jacket and scarf. I was tickled. #mabuhay45 #motherhood #timeflies
